Alex Reichek is an expert in marketing, PR, partnership creation, and communications for food, beverage, hospitality, and lifestyle businesses. She transforms brands, concepts, and products by amplifying their mission and strategically showing what makes them stand out above competitors. She connects likeminded brands for meaningful promotions, brings revenue streams to small businesses through creative concepts and handles traditional PR, editorial, and social media tactics.
Alex moved to New York City in 2009 to launch her hospitality career after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Working at SHADOW PR and The Door, she was in charge of traditional media relations, led campaigns for new restaurant openings, secured high-level profiles on chefs, personalities and CPG products, discovered trends, and took charge on social media strategy and influencer marketing at the very beginning.
After 8 years in NYC working with over 30 restaurants and hotel properties, Alex moved back to Austin to be award-winning, McGuire Moorman Hospitality's first Communications Director where she oversaw PR, social media, and partnerships for 8 restaurants and the boutique, By George. In 2018, Alex started her own consulting company where she has worked with New Waterloo restaurants like Otoko and Il Brutto, Eberly, Lenoir, ARRIVE East Austin hotel, Vixen's Wedding, Thai Fresh, Austin's first Equinox luxury club on South Congress, Richard's Rainwater, Kendra Scott, Goodnight Loving Vodka, and more.
Alex also has her own restaurant and travel editorial website called Chekmark Eats and instagram which has been featured on Huffington Post, New York Live Taxi TV, Business Insider, Forbes, Spectrum News, and Tribeza magazine. In November 2019, Alex wrote her first digital guide book to all things Austin food, beverage, hotels, and outdoor activities which is for sale here.
